Yoga

We have a covered outdoor yoga studio in the garden and a live in yoga instructor who will happily put on daily classes fitting around our surf schedule. Yoga and surfing are a match made in heaven, and will not only relieve your sore paddling muscles but help improve your surfing, trust us! Turn your surf holiday into a Yoga retreat by adding in yoga everyday :) (€10 per session)

Skate/ Surf Skate/ Longboard

There are smooth bike paths throughout the area that are perfect for long-boarding and also a number of seriously nice skate parks and pump tracks.. We have longboards/ surf skates/ and skateboards all available for you to use. Can't skate? No problem we will help you get rolling.

Bridge Jump

Smack bang in the middle of Hossegor is the perfect bridge jump for cooling off on those hot summer days, and getting the heart racing. We will show you where and when (high tide only!) to jump off and give you any words of encouragement that you may or may not need :)

Workout/ Gym/ Fitness

If you wanted to get your sweat on during you holiday here, don’t worry we have you covered. We have built our own gym in the garden that you are more than welcome to use or we are always happy to put on classes to add in some group motivation and a bit more fun. Never any pressure of course :)

Beach Volley

Theres plenty of local beach volley ball courts in the area, and we are always keen for a game. Never played before? We can show you the ropes. Bit of an expert? Go easy on us please :)

Golf/ Driving range

Not far our surf house is the esteemed Seignosse golf club. The course is great but the driving range is even better. A few evenings per week they put on a live a concert to make practising golf that little bit more exciting.

Ice Cream

This Hossegor right of passage starts with a beautiful bike ride along the lake, then into the heart of Hossegor were lies the best Ice Cream shop in the world; Glace Romain. You will be greated by the friendly smiles of the lovely servers, then hypnotised by the mouth watering array of flavors. Grab your selection and enjoy in the sun watching the world go by.

Concerts/Events/Parties

If you want to experience some of the many events on offer here in the summer time, we have you covered. Whether it be a week long fete, a beach party, concerts, or even just the local night life — Leave it up to us :)

Pétanque (Boules)

When in Rome do as the Romans do. The French love this game and its easy to see why. Its not difficult, its social, and its best played with the refreshing beverage “Pastis”. It can also be played anywhere, but we love the “Boulodrome” located right on Capbreton Marina.

Biking and Nature Trails

As luck would have it the Surf House is located in one the largest pine forests in Europe; the Landes Forest. Grab a bike or slip on your walking shoes and take a step back into nature on any one of the endless biking/walking trails throughout this beautiful landscape.

San Sebastian Day Trip

Come join us on a tapas en-fueled tour of our favorite Spanish city, San Sebastian. Sip on local Spanish wine, taste some of the finest foods in the world, all while taking in the true Basque culture and stunning neoclassical architecture. Just a 60 minute drive away.

Climbing/ Bouldering

If the surf turns bad we like to try and stay active. The brand new climbing centre in Hossegor is a great refuge of fun and physical endurance for all levels. It has has a great little cafe for lunch and a sauna!

Outlet Shopping

A short bike ride away is where you will find the surf brand outlet stores. All your favorite brands, all in the same place, at discounted prices. There are also a number of great bars and cafes to break up the days shopping.

Extra Curricular

Theres a rumour going around that the SWSH crew enjoy a game a chess. We also have a great selection of books that are perfect for an afternoon lie in a hammock. Other extra curricular activities include but are not limited too; Language lessons (French, English, Spanish), life hacks, and riddle solving.

Birding

Birding or Bird Watching is becoming increasingly more popular in Hossegor (we suspect). The area hosts a large number of rare birds or “lifers” as we like to call them, many of which can found no further than the surf house garden. Any bird knowledge from travelling birders is more than welcomed and encouraged.

Biarritz day trip

You’ve probably heard of the famous french city of Biarritz but have you taken the time to explore its breathtaking coastline, seaside walks, and beautiful architecture? Its definitely worth the trip.

French things

Dont forget we are in the land of baguettes, cheese, and wine. If you want to get your French cliché on, we have you covered. A surf house favorite is the infamous Cafe de Paris in the centre of Hossegor. It’s an excellent place to watch the world go by, and to truly embrace the French culture. Extra points if you can order your demi pêche in French.
